Welcome to Hilltop Praise
Hilltop Praise is the regular evening service at St. Matthew and St. James Church, Mossley Hill. We are part of the Mossley Hill Team Ministry alongside All Hallows, Allerton and St Barnabas, Penny Lane. Our Team Rector is Godfrey Butland and our Team Vicar is Alan Kennedy.
The service starts each Sunday with refreshments at 6.30pm. Services are informal with an emphasis on worshipping God, Bible teaching and participation.
The Church is situated at the top of Rose Lane, next door to Liverpool University's Carnatic Halls of Residence, which places us in an ideal location to reach out to students in the city. Click here for directions.
We have a mission to reach out to the thousands of students on our doorstep at Carnatic Halls and I.M.Marsh, but over the years many different kinds of people have come to worship God at Hilltop Praise: babies; teenagers; University students; graduates (who wish they were still students); newlyweds; proper grown ups; those that like a Sunday morning lie in and those who are really busy on a Sunday morning making tea and coffee or running children's groups, and just need some quality time with God! All are welcome!
